Joe Vogler. Like Lewis Black said about Vice President Dick Cheney, that’s all I have to say in this post. Joe Vogler. It’s old news really, but as the McCain camp continues onward with accusations of Barack Obama’s “friends,” Joe Vogler is all we have to say to eliminate them.
Joe Vogler, ladies and gentlemen, did not see this country the way we see it. Joe Vogler created the Alaska Independence Party and Alaskans for Independence and claimed the Libertarian Party in Alaska, as well. But Joe Vogler did not love his country, ladies and gentlemen, as he said, “I’m an Alaskan, not an American. I’ve got no use for America or her damned institutions.”
And what of the Alaska Independence Party? Here’s a direct quote from their website:
The Alaskan Independence Party can be summed up in just two words:
Until we as Alaskans receive our Ultimate Goal, the AIP will continue to strive to make Alaska a better place to live with less government interference in our everyday lives.
The Alaskan Independence Party’s goal is the vote we were entitled to in 1958, one choice from among the following four alternatives:
1) Remain a Territory.
2) Become a separate and Independent Nation.
3) Accept Commonwealth status.
4) Become a State.
The call for this vote is in furtherance of the dream of the Alaskan Independence Party’s founding father, Joe Vogler, which was for Alaskans to achieve independence under a minimal government, fully responsive to the people, promoting a peaceful and lawful means of resolving differences.
Now that’s saying a mouthful, isn’t it? This is a “political” party that would surely stab the back of this country in order to achieve their own personal freedoms. And who is associated with this political party? Well, not completely, Sarah Palin, but her husband is and let’s face it Mr. Palin is a lot closer to Mrs. Palin than Ayers was ever to Barack Obama. But you don’t hear McCain Camp talking about that, do you?
If someone is “palling” around with domestic terrorists, it’s Governor Palin, not Barack Obama.
What’s that? I think a glass house just broke.
